Like all products and services, consumers make their choices at the point of sale, a myriad set of choices to pamper your senses. All marketers and advertisers use this dopamine effect to ensure we stay hooked to buying, using imagery and enticement through social media and the digital medium. Sin is pervading using this very same route; porn, suicide, and depression all have their routes or inspiration from the digital domain. While we deliberate being at the point of sale in our daily lives, we are now awakening to the reality of being at the ‘POINT OF SIN” in our moral and spiritual lives.
Unfortunately, the “digital Satan” is active at the point of Sin, the church however is still catching up. Urban hope expects to engage the wider body of Christ to be active at the point of SIN. To fight the good fight and ensure the promise of Mathew 16:18,19 comes to pass in our lifetime.
God speaks to many concerning the present and the future. Its his way of kickstarting a new movement, a battle preparation, or simply put like Noah starting to build an ‘Ark’ when there was no rain. A businessman critically ill in the ICU during Covid, saw a vision that evolved into this movement called Urban Hope.
The vision was simple and clear; a very large fort wall extending miles with many gates. A huge crowd of people from all walks of life was trudging along these fort walls very wearily. As they reached gates, very large golden ones, they would shrink in fear and move back… the gates were partially open and smoke and fire emanated from them.
A further detailing was provided and the view from the other side was also shown, clear visuals for 4 gates were imprinted on the minds of this entrepreneur.
Gates of pornographyThe 1st gate had Demons dressed seductively, excitedly gazing over computers dancing around in flames of fire. This was revealed as the Gate of Pornography.
Gate of substance abuseAt the 2nd gate, there are demons walking around with injections and whisky kegs amidst loud groans and shrieks from humans at their feet. This was revealed as the Gate of Substance Abuse,
Gate of depressionThe 3rd gate Demons holding distorted mirrors and uttering lies into the ears of young children with the cackling sound of witches. This was revealed as the Gate of Depression
Gates of suicideThe 4rth gate had Demons riding demonic horses with lassos, resembling malevolent unicorns, attempt to entice people to choke, cheered on by the demonic crowd. This was revealed as the Gate of Suicide

The Crowd of people walking beside the fort knew what was happening on this side of the fort and were fearful to stand and fight. The Lord impressed through this vision once again for the Church to stand at the gates and fight, for the gates of HELL shall not prevail against the church. This vision once again impressed upon all that the global movement today working across nations that ‘none should perish” is alive and working on every single person bound at these gates.
God is raising an army! An army led by his people to do battle at the frontiers of evil. We are glad the power of volunteering is seeping into the church today. We however need more, from the church, from the pew and from the pulpit.
Can we rise up to be the voice in the desert, a light on a hilltop or just a plain shoulder to cry on…We are meant to be a community where we look out for one another, help the vulnerable, rejoice in others’ happiness, and weep with those who weep. We need to stand up and be counted. For the battle.
Volunteering is often challenging to fit into a tight schedule, and it may be rather inconvenient. But if we look beyond our own lives, we will see the tears and silent pleas that might otherwise go unnoticed. As a leader your time or talent is a resource that is a cog in the wheel of redemptive grace. A technocrat working alongside a media professional could find ways for the word of God to reach the desk of a porn/drug addict. Imagine the Impact! That’s our calling to present the Good news @ the frontlines
Project Urban Hope is a pan-India initiative that includes church leadership who will work alongside counsellors, creative teams, technology specialists and businessmen to bring forth a consortium to battle against the gates of hell.
